Orr Elementary Celebrates Black History Spirit Week: Feb. 17-21
Orr Elementary is excited to celebrate Black History Spirit Week from February 17-21, honoring culture, history, and excellence! Students and staff are encouraged to participate in themed dress-up days, embracing unity and learning about Black heritage in a fun and engaging way.
Hereβs whatβs in store for the week:

Monday (2/17) β Flag Day π©
Each grade level will represent a color from the Pan-African Flag:
π΄ Red β Head Start, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 3rd Grade
β« Black β 1st and 4th Grade
π’ Green β 2nd and 5th Grade

Tuesday (2/18) β Booker T. Washington Day π
In honor of Booker T. Washingtonβs contributions as an educator and leader, students are encouraged to wear hairbows (girls) and bow ties (boys)!

Show your pride and strength by wearing all black!
