Owens Elementary School in the heart of the community transformed into a magical realm as students recently celebrated their love for literature in a vibrant Storybook Character Parade on October 31st. The school was abuzz with excitement as students, dressed as their beloved literary characters, paraded with enthusiasm.

From Harry Potter and Hermione Granger to Alice in Wonderland and Cinderella, the parade showcased a dazzling array of characters from classic and contemporary tales. The creativity and attention to detail displayed in the students' costumes were truly remarkable, capturing the essence of their favorite characters.

Teachers and parents alike cheered on the youngsters, many of whom waved to the crowd and eagerly explained their character choices. The event not only encouraged a love for reading but also fostered a sense of community spirit and imagination. 

Principal Weldon Davis, who also joined in the fun dressed as Cat in the Hat, said, "The Storybook Character Parade is a wonderful way to promote literacy and creativity. It's heartwarming to see our students so passionate about their favorite characters and books."
