Owens Elementary students got a taste of leadership during the exciting Kids Rule the School fundraiser, where they had the opportunity to take over staff roles for a day. From principal to librarian to PE coach, students placed bids on their favorite staff positions, eager to step into their shoes.

In addition to staff takeovers, students could also bid on unique experiences, including lunch on the roof with Principal Davis, a front-row parking spot, and premium seating for kindergarten and 5th-grade graduations. The event not only gave students a fun and memorable experience but also helped raise funds for a great cause.

The original goal was to raise $5,000 toward a new playground for Owens Elementary, but thanks to the generosity of families, the event surpassed expectations, bringing in an impressive $6,500.
