On Thursday, March 9th, our Owens 2nd grade class will be performing the program "GO FISH!". The students have been working very hard the past couple months and are so excited to perform for everyone. We would LOVE to have you!

The Lighthouse Committee had an opportunity to meet with the Sheriff’s Department, including K9 Officer Jack! Their February service project, Love for Law Enforcement, also included Q&A session with the officers and a tour of the different vehicles!

Thank you to our fabulous Young Audience storyteller, Ms. Kahura for today's African Safari performance with our 2nd and 3rd graders. We are so grateful to our PTA for providing our students with these amazing opportunities! 🤩
Tyler ISD is offering FREE STAAR test practice packets for students 3rd-8th grade. If you are interested in reserving a copy for your student, you must call 903-262-1218. Packets will be delivered to Owens the week before spring break. The deadline to reserve a packet is Friday, February 17th. No extra copies will be sent to campuses, so make sure to call today so you don't miss out! Thank you Tyler ISD for helping our kiddos prepare for the STAAR.
Our 4th & 5th grade Eagles had a BLAST today at our annual Link Up Orchestra MOVES concert experience! 🎻💃🏽
Our students had the chance to play the recorder and sing along with the East Texas Symphony Orchestra, Tyler ISD Orchestra students, District Recorder Choir, and the District Honors Choir. What made it even more special is that 11 of our own Eagles are in the District Honors Choir! (12 total, just missing one today) 🎤
Mrs. Barrett couldn't be more prouder of all of their hard work and dedication to this wonderful experience. We can't wait to go back next year! As for the Honors Choir students, they get to do it all over again tomorrow! 🎶💙🦅
Our staff had the most fun finding their "perfect match" today! Staff members mixed and mingled as they had to find the other half of their dynamic duo. We love finding ways to connect with each other and have some fun along the way! ❤️🥰
