Each year, thousands of educators worldwide participate in "Rock Your School," impacting millions of students. Your Hometown School District's campuses were no exception.

Rice Elementary School Principal Allison O'Neal knew her team was SUPER excited to ensure their students were SUPER excited about this year's event. Some, you guessed it, dressed as SUPERheroes with SUPER powers.  "Our educators transformed their classrooms into learning experiences, said O'Neal." "From soda shops, Jurassic jeeps and digs, math Monopoly, and more. There are many examples of our teachers' time and effort into these imaginary spaces."

"We are committed in every classroom, every day, to an engaging learning environment," Rice Master Teacher Bethanie Chancellor said. "Today, we increased that engagement tenfold. When our students walked in to see their classrooms become these unexpected spaces, the encounter is sure to leave a lasting impact on a student's overall educational experience."

Rice Elementary Churches Servings Schools Success Partner Glenwood Church of Christ provided food for the teachers the evening before. A lot of time and creativity goes into the classroom transformations. Volunteers from Glenwood Church of Christ worked alongside the teachers to help create and hang decorations that brought smiles to students' faces the next day. Rice Elementary greatly appreciates this partnership!
