Tyler ISD and our newest Success Partner, Vexus Fiber, announced the Three Lakes Middle School Care Closet sponsorship today. This is the second effort by Vexus of the commitment of $10,000 this year to support the needs of our schools in the neighborhoods Vexus currently serves.
βVexus Fiber is proud to continue our Success Partnership with Tyler ISD,β Vexus Fiber Regional Vice President β East Texas and Louisiana Cameron Miller said. βThe Food Drive for Three Lakes Middle School means a lot to us, to ensure no child goes hungry β especially as summer approaches. One of our company pillars at Vexus is being community builders and we mean that 100% - weβre dedicated to ensuring the success of residents in more ways than providing fiber internet connectivity.β
βThe Three Lakes Care Closet was created so counselors had an ongoing place to store items of immediate need for our students,β Principal Rachel Sherman said. βThe closet has been stocked through donations and, most recently, by using a thousand dollars from Vexus to purchase easy to make foods to send home with students to use over the weekend.β
Vexus employees invite the community to purchase one or all five of the much-needed items. These specific kid choices have a long shelf life and are easy for students to prepare themselves.
