Gators, help us welcome Coach Lawton Anderson to the The Swamp! He is coming over from Tyler Legacy High School. He will teach 7th Math and coach at TL in the fall and TLMS in the spring.
Where are you from? Midlothian, TX
Family? Wife - Haleigh (She is a Tyler Legacy 'Lee' Alumni) and Daughter - Emmie Claire (1 year old)
Hobbies? Love to cook, bake, and BBQ. I try to spend my free time outside of work with my daughter going on walks, playing in the splash pad, and anything I can do to keep her busy.
Experience in education? 3 years teaching and coaching at Klein Cain HS in North Houston and Tyler Legacy HS.
Favorite middle school memory? Playing sports all through middle school


Gators, please help us welcome to TLMS, our newest art teacher, Heather Eiland!
Where are you from? I am from Whitehouse/Tyler and graduated from Grace Community High School.
Family? I have a husband (Clay) and four kids: Sophia (13), Teddy (11), Shepard (7), and Mary (4).
Hobbies? I am a serial hobbiest, but over the past two years I have taught myself goldsmithing and stone setting. I really enjoy working a piece of metal into something beautiful.
Experience in art? Art has been part of my life since before I can remember. Around 5th grade I started taking some of the adult summer art classes at TJC and in college at TCU I majored in Art and Psychology. As an adult, I have used art and creativity in several business ventures.
Favorite middle school memory? My favorite middle school memory was an 8th grade school trip to Washington DC. I loved traveling with my friends!
Anything else you want to share...Iβm so excited to be a TLMS Gator and be on campus with two of my kids this year (Sophia- 8th and Teddy- 6th)! My wish is that I can foster a love and appreciation for art in all of my students!

Gators, please help us welcome to TLMS, our new choir director, Maxwell Dannenberg!
Where are you from? I was born in East Texas, went to school in Hawkins, Texas, attended college/university in Tyler, and traveled various places around the country doing music and theatre.
Family? I've been with my college band sweetheart, Hannah (we met at TJC) for 10 years, and we have two wonderful kids, Katharine and Eloise!
Hobbies? I'm a lifelong musician so really anything that has to do with music, but I also do theatre and voice acting, play softball, and occasionally play video and board games.
Experience in education? I've taught choir for 2 years at Jacksonville ISD and also taught 7 years of private music lessons.
Favorite middle school memory? Probably either one-act play competitions, model U.N., or first becoming a band student!
Anything else you want to share... I'm honored and excited to share my passion for singing and music with the students and staff of Three Lakes Middle School!


We already miss our Gators this summer; especially our 8th Gators moving on to high school like Gabe pictured below. Good thing that Tyler Legacy High School isn't too far away so we will get to see them again soon. We hope all of our Gators are having a great summer so far!

Gators, please help us welcome our new Media Technology Assistant, MTA, Kelly Slaughter! Mrs. Slaughter and Mrs. Starr, our MTS, will make a dynamic duo in our library!
Where are your from? Amarillo, Texas
Experience? My background is in the childcare industry. My husband and I opened two childcare facilities in Amarillo where I ran the day to day operations until our move to Tyler in July 2022.
Family? We have four children: Benton (27), Bryson (21; JR at A&M), Beau (17; JR at Tyler Legacy) and Bently (13; 8th grade at TLMS).
Hobbies? We love to travel and watch college football!
Favorite middle school memory? My favorite middle school memories were my friends, playing sports and never wanting to grow up!


What makes an awesome night watching the Texas Rangers even better? How about running into one of your favorite teachers at the game. Alex Freeman and Mr. Culp at the Rangers game; looks like a great start to summer break so far!


Gators, help us welcome Jason Maine to the The Swamp! Mr. Maine will be our new band director at TLMS.
Where are you from? I grew up in Ledyard, Ct.
Family? I have a daughter, Maggie, who is a senior at Texas State.
I have a son, Andrew, who is going to be an 8th grader at Three Lakes.
I met my wife, Jennifer, in college (UNT). We have been together since 1999.
Hobbies? I enjoy gardening, trivia, woodworking and going to Colorado with my family.
Experience in education? I have 22 years of experience.
Favorite middle school memory? My favorite middle school memory is playing in band. My director was full of energy and positivity. He played in a band that was in the movie Mystic Pizza

Gators, help us welcome 7th grade science teacher, Danica Komlofske!
Where are you from? I am from Belton, TX! (A small city in between Austin and Waco).
Family? I am a middle child! I have two sisters and two brothers. I also have 4 schnauzers.
Hobbies? I love going on walks, reading my Bible, watching movies/tv shows, and making coffee.
Experience in education? Iβve been a tutor since 2020. I worked at Mathnasium in Killeen for 2 years where I tutored all types of math. After, I became a Chemistry tutor at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where I tutored General Chemistry I & II and Organic Chemistry I & II. Currently, I am working on my alternative certification for Science 7-12.
Favorite middle school memory? My favorite middle school memory was being a cheerleader! I made some of my closest friends there and learned what it was like to be a part of a team.
Anything else you want to share... I am a Texas Rangers fan & I am so excited to join the Three Lakes family!
