Help us welcome to the swamp, Mrs. Sarah Starr! Mrs. Starr is the new Media Technology Specialist for Three Lakes Middle School. She is new to Three Lakes, but not new to Tyler ISD or to being a campus MTS. We are so glad she returned this year as a π!
Experience in education? I am excited to be back in the library for my 14th year in education. I love to pair students with great books and help teachers with resources for their lessons.
Hobbies? When I am not reading, I like to needlepoint, cheer for the Baylor Bears, and play games with my family. What brings me joy is being Schatzi to my first grand baby, Noah.
Favorite middle school memory? One of my own middle school memories is learning to play the cello from Miss Skipper and attending football and basketball games with my friends.
Anything else? Middle School is such a time of transition for students. I hope to help them enjoy school more and have a positive experience...AND to learn to love reading, the foundation of all learning.
What a fun way to get to know each other! For each toilet paper square torn off, students had to write and share an interesting thing about themselves with their peers!
A picture's worth 1000 words! Today in 8th science, students got to know each other by sharing a fact & collaborating to draw each other's portraits. We have a few Picasso's on our hands. ππ¨βπ¨π€ͺ
