Congratulations to Tyler High School Students of the Month for March!
Freshman Tristen Taylor is helpful, participates in instruction dialogue, is always in a good mood, eager to please and an all-around great young man! He is kind to everyone and has an outgoing and optimistic personality which is enjoyable to be around. He is eager to learn every day and works hard to maintain a high GPA. Tristen is a respectful leader in class and a young man of high character. He will succeed in all he tries in his remaining years at Tyler High School and beyond!
Sophomore Jenia Thomas has grown exponentially this year. She participates in track and her coach reports that she works hard on her running form to become better each day. She has improved in her overall attitude and technique and is a sweet young lady who is a pleasure to have in class and in the Tyler High Track program. She has also shown outstanding voice skills in Choir. Her teachers agree that they are very proud to have her as a student in class.
Junior Anna Perdomo is a top performing student in her classes, as well as a positive influence on her peers by encouraging and sometimes just listening to them when they need a friend. She is also the number one girl tennis player and high achiever in the Texas high school tennis world. A little known fact is that she is an accomplished bass player and plays every week at church, rocking the building with riffs that can be felt in your gut.
Senior Malik Lewis is an excellent student and young man who is kind to everyone he encounters and is always willing to help. He volunteers as a mentor outside of school and is also a part of our THS Sources of Strength program. Malik stands up for what is right and advocates for those in need. He lights up a room with his smile and can make you laugh in a heartbeat. He will definitely excel in any and everything he puts his mind to and he can look forward to a bright future. We could definitely stand to have a few more Maliks in the world!
