Tyler ISD is proud to announce the valedictorians and salutatorians for the graduating class of 2024. These exceptional students have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and dedication throughout their high school careers.

Valedictorians

Liliana Flores - Early College High School

Plans: Liliana plans to attend The University of Texas at Tyler to obtain a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, with aspirations of becoming a bilingual elementary teacher.

Leadership Roles and Activities: Student Government Vice President, National Honor Society Secretary, Peer Assisted Learning, Junior Achievement, Girls Invested in Volunteer Efforts (GIVE Girls), Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and Rho Kappa Honor Society.

Tyson Wilson II - Tyler High School

Plans: Tyson will attend The University of Texas at Austin to dual major in business and psychology, with a focus on pursuing a career in criminal psychiatry and owning his own practice.

Leadership Roles and Activities: National Honor Society, UIL Academics, and Varsity Football.

Brady Filla - Tyler Legacy High School

Plans: Brady intends to attend Texas Tech University to major in Honors Sciences and the Humanities.

Leadership Roles and Activities: Varsity Soccer Captain, Varsity Cross Country Captain, National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, Student Council and Science National Honor Society.

Salutatorians

Candice Chua - Early College High School

Plans: Candice will pursue a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in computer science at The University of Texas at Tyler, aiming for a career as a robotics engineer or mechatronics engineer.

Leadership Roles and Activities: National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, Rho Kappa Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, English Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and President's List at Tyler Junior College.

A'Niya Hartsfield - Tyler High School

Plans: A'Niya has earned a full-ride scholarship to Texas Christian University, where she will major in biology on the pre-dental pathway.

Leadership Roles and Activities: Daughter of American Revolution Rotary Award, Academic All-State, THSCA 4-Year Varsity Basketball, National Honor Society, and Student Council.

Ethan Macha - Tyler Legacy High School

Plans: Ethan plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin, major in biology, and pursue a career in medicine.

Leadership Roles and Activities: Chinese Club President, Psi Alpha President, Commended National Merit Scholar, AP Capstone Recipient, and 3-time Outstanding Percussionist.
