Tyler High School (THS) Girls Basketball Head Coach Bobby Reynolds recorded his 200th career victory with a 64-47 win over Jacksonville on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
βI am deeply moved by the show of support for this career accomplishment,β Coach Reynolds said. βThis would not have been possible without the amazing young ladies and their families that I have been blessed to know and coach along the way. They have made a lasting impact on my life and hopefully, I have done the same for them.β
Coach Reynolds is amid his second season on the sidelines for the Lady Lions, where he owns a 43-14 overall record, including a 13-4 start to the 2024-25 season. Last season, he helped captain Tyler High to an unbeaten district record, a district championship, and multiple playoff wins en route to a Regional Quarterfinals appearance on the back of a 22-game winning streak. For his efforts, he was named District 15-5A Coach of the Year.
βReaching this milestone only represents the countless hours I, as well as my staff, have put in to achieve this goal,β Coach Reynolds said. βI look forward to what still lies ahead, and a special thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.β
Under his watch, THS had both co-MVPs of District 15-5A in 2023-24 in Kalyse Buffin and Bralyah Miller, as well as First Team All-District selections AβNiya Hartsfield and MaβKayla Taylor, Second Team selections LaβTaija Hambrick and JerβMiya Rice, and Honorable Mention selections Amiyah Clay and BraβShia Miller. Hartsfield and teammate Samora Hines also earned THSCA Academic All-State selections.
Reynolds was the Head Coach at Tenaha High School for one season in 2022-23, during which time he led the Lady Tigers to the 2A Semifinals with a 33-3 record. Before that, he led the Caddo Mills program from 2014-22, winning 118 games, including multiple playoff appearances.
