Congratulations to the following Tyler High December Students of the Month.
Kayven Bell (Freshman Class): Kayven is a positive influence and role model in the classroom for both academics and behavior. He is passing with an A and always completes his work to the best of his ability. Kayven is not afraid to engage in classroom discussion and works well collaboratively by encouraging his peers to participate through example and leadership.
Jeremiah Gordon (Sophomore Class): Amazing young man, does great in class, and even teaches peers when needed. Currently has mostly A's. Just an amazing young man who shows kindness to everyone he meets. Jeremiah is respectful and diligent with his classwork. Jeremiah is a self-starter who is naturally inquisitive. Additionally, he is prepared and disciplined in his approach to academic endeavors. These qualities create a young scholar that resembles a colleague more than a student. Jeremiah is often the young man that allows his educators to learn each day and that is a gift we should all value. He is a blessing to Tyler High School.
Jesus Arriaga (Junior Class): Jesus is always focused on his academics. He is able to block out distractions and keeps his eyes on the prize. When he completes his assignment he will immediately begin helping those around him without being asked. Those students in his proximity have come to rely on him for help, knowing with confidence that he has the willingness and capacity to assist when called upon.
Eriana Valle (Senior Class): Eriana Valle is not only a great student, she's a great teammate, caring sister, and respectful daughter. Eriana has been a part of the varsity volleyball team for four years in which she demonstrated character, grit, and loyalty. She is a hard-working young lady who has been nominated for academic all-district for all four years and has received district defensive player of the year for 2019 and 2020. When she is not working on improving her skills in volleyball and soccer, she is busy studying for her classes as she has dreams of becoming a sports physician. Through her self-discipline and good time management, there is no doubt in my mind that she will successfully reach any goal she sets for herself.
