Tyler High School JROTC
Our mission as an organization is to motivate young people to become better citizens. We do this by providing them opportunities to build and lead a team of their peers. They have some opportunities in class however they gain the most experience from competitions around the state of Texas, Regionals, or Nationals. Our goal is to give our cadets experiences that will help them grow as individuals while providing a strong foundation that will succeed in any goal they set their minds to.
We have multiple competitions that we will be trying to attend this year. Our first two will be a drill meet that has the cadets leading a color guard or drill team through a series of commands, and an orienteering course that will test their ability to navigate from one point to another with just a map, compass and protractor. Other events include our Military Ball, Organizational Day, Archery Competitions, (JCLC) JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge.
