Tyler High School athletes signed a letter of intent to play football at the collegiate level. The signing ceremony took place in the theatre before the athletes' families, coaches, and teammates.

Avery Coleman, Football – Fort Hays State University 2022: 7-5A Division I First Team All-District Offensive Lineman Stats: 22 Pancakes, Overall Run Blocking Grade 81%, Overall Pass Blocking Grade 83>#/p###

Tyler High Coach Perry: "Avery is a great kid, one of those kids you wish you had more of regularly. He is a person who amplifies his hard work in the classroom and athletics."


Montrell Wade, Football – Boston College 2022: 7-5A Division I Second Team All-District Wide Receiver and 7-5A Division I Second Team All-District Safety WR stats: 27 receptions for 411 yards & 4 touchdowns Safety stats: - 24 total tackles (18 solo/6 assists) 2021:  7-5a Division I First Team All-District Wide Receiver and 7-5A Division I First Team All-District Safety WR stats: 39 receptions from 808 yards and 13 touchdowns; 3 rushes for 27 yards Safety stats: 64 tackles (42 solo/22 assists), 4 interceptions, 3 pass breakups 2020:  7-5A Division I Second Team All-District Wide Receiver

Tyler High Coach Bush: "Montrell is a phenomenal football player. He brings a skill set to the table that allows him to always be in a position to make plays."


Kameron Griffin, Football – Lamar University

Safety:  1 solo tackle; Kameron transferred late in the season and could only play in two games this season at Tyler High.
