The Good News Club (GNC), Birdwell Dual Language Immersion School's weekly after-school program, held its festive Christmas party on Wednesday, December 11th. Birdwell proudly stands as the only school in Tyler ISD to host this club entirely in Spanish, making it a unique and cherished experience for students.
After a semester filled with learning Bible stories, memorizing verses, singing uplifting songs, and playing engaging games, the Christmas party was a time to celebrate and connect. The highlight of the event was a heartfelt play performed by 4th-grade students. They reenacted the true meaning of Christmas, focusing on the historical event of Jesus' birth. Their preparation and dedication shone brightly as they shared this meaningful story with their fellow GNC members, ranging from 1st to 6th grade.
The party was not just about the performance. Students sang Christmas songs together, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity. They enjoyed delicious pizza and cookies, fostering fellowship and warmth during the holiday season. Games added an extra layer of fun, ensuring every participant left with a smile.
