Students at Birdwell Dual Language Immersion School came together to spread love and kindness this Valentine’s Day, creating a total of 494 handmade cards for children in hospitals and seniors in nursing homes. The initiative, led by Ms. Fallad, encouraged students to make cards both at school and at home, with support from staff and parents.
The original goal was quickly surpassed as students eagerly participated, filling the collection box with colorful, heartfelt messages. Once counted, the cards were delivered to KVNE and Fuzion, who expressed their sincere appreciation for the overwhelming response.
The impact of the project will be immediately felt. Children in hospitals will receive messages of encouragement, while seniors in nursing homes will be touched by the thoughtful words and creative designs.
Birdwell’s initiative highlights the power of small acts of kindness. The school community hopes to continue similar projects in the future, ensuring that love and compassion remain at the heart of their efforts.
