This week, our library has transformed into a gingerbread village as our cubs have brought their beautiful creations from the Gingerbread House STEM challenge! We are still open for accepting gingerbread houses through Friday. We will showcase them in the library all week next week and then send them home on December 16th to decorate your house over the Christmas holiday!

Orr families! Can you build a gingerbread house out of a brown paper sack?
For the month of December, we want to challenge you and your student to decorate a gingerbread house! Please use the small brown sack provided (sent home November 28th) for the house and please do not use real candy (we don't want ants)! Students should write their name & homeroom on the bottom of the sack. Bring your gingerbread house masterpiece to the library when you have finished for display.
Instructions:
1. Fill the bottom of the paper bag with newspaper or stuffing
2. Fold over the top & staple closed
3. Cut two pieces of construction paper, cardboard, or felt for the roof & glue on
4. Glue or draw on windows & doors
5. Decorate with non-edible things that you already have at home and HAVE FUN!!
Bring to the library for showcase by December 9.
Bring it back home on December 16th.
