October Leaders of the Month

Please join us in celebrating our amazing October Leaders of the Month!

These students have consistently demonstrated the 7 Habits and have shown what it means to be a true leader—making responsible choices, working well with others, showing kindness, taking initiative and setting a positive example for those around them.

We are so proud of the leadership, character and heart they bring to our Rice Rangers family every day!

Last week in Pre-K the students learned about community helpers! Special visitors including the Tyler Fire Department, Tyler Police Officer, and the UT Tyler Mobile Trailer visited with our young Rangers!

The Rangers were rodeo-ready! We celebrated the kickoff of the East Texas State Fair on Friday, and our very own Ranger, Maya, won the Mutton Bustin' contest at the rodeo Friday night!

Students in Mrs. McCollum’s science class collaborated in the science lab and determined the most effective way to separate various mixtures by identifying their physical properties! 🧪🥼🔬

Pre-K had an apple-solutely great week learning about apples! From reading narrative and informational texts, to apple art crafts, and to tasting delicious apples!🍎🍏

Library classes don’t officially begin until Monday, but Mrs. McCollum’s 5th grade homeroom got an early visit this afternoon! 📚✨

They were the FIRST class to correctly answer our very first Wonder Wednesday challenge on Rangers Live and earned 30 minutes of free time in the library! They played, created, explored and enjoyed a little well-earned fun to end the week.

We loved seeing how excited our Rangers were to participate in this new segment on morning announcements—and we can’t wait to see which class answers the next Wonder Wednesday! 💭
