Thank you to everyone who participated in our World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser. Today, all the students who sold at least one box of chocolate enjoyed their Popsicle treat with an extra recess. The other rewards are coming soon.

Rice Elementary Book Fair is this week!! Students will be able to shop during their specials time. Parents may shop from 3 pm to 4:15 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, (This is a correction from the flyer sent home.) Parents will need to wear a mask while inside the building. Also, 15 parents at a time will be allowed in the library.
Kindness Week started today at Rice Elementary. Students participated in "Chalk the Walk".

Problem - a volleyball is stuck in a tree. One of our 4th grade classes decided to solve the problem. Look at these engineers at work building their device after they collaborated on their plan. STEM matters!!

Great first school day of 2021!! Friday is our next Kona Ice Day to celebrate the 3rd six weeks along with our Celebration Assembly video. Here's hoping for a super spring semester!!!
The annual Rice Toy Drive for St. Paul's ends Friday. Our Rice Rangers are doing a SUPER job striving to meet our school goal of 575 toys. If you would like to participate to help us reach our goal, have a new unwrapped toy at Rice by Friday, December 11th.

Ms. Swan's class has been having fun with Start With Hello Week. Monday was "Aloha Day". Tuesday was "Encourage Others". Students could wear a t-shirt with an encouraging message. We like to keep things positive at Rice Elementary!!
Just a reminder, today is the last day of Marcos Pizza Spirit Week for Rice Elementary. Pizza is always good on a Friday night for supper. Be sure to mention Rice when you order.
