
Tyler High Faculty celebrated the end of Black History Month with a celebration at the monthly faculty meeting. The Tyler High Choir performed several songs and teachers were provided food from Shepard's Eats and desserts from THS Culinary Department while being served by Tyler High Student Council students.

As February comes to a close this week, Tyler high teachers and classes celebrated Black History Month with several dress up days, a black history month program and a door decorating contest. Enjoy the images from the celebratons!

Ms. Baldwinβs Foundations of Career Prep class attended βPathways to Possibilitiesβ @ Region 7 today. They had the opportunity to attend sessions about gaining employment, money budgeting, communicating with law enforcement, being college ready, & dressing for success (In this session, students left with a job interview ready outfit!).
The students were also inspired by the keynote speaker, Romereo Brown, who is the founder and CEO of Weird & Different Clothing Brand. Mr. Brown also recently pitched his business idea on Shark Tank. His life story of perseverance & success left students feeling empowered!






Gabby Perdomo competed at the HOSA spring leadership conference this past weekend.

Lions Won 67-60 last night against Texas High for a playoff spot!
Started off hot, hitting 7 3βs in the 1st half. Took a 39-21 lead into halftime.
Texas High rallied back to make it a 5 point game, but the Lions were determined to advance to the playoffs!
Record: 20-12. Play Prosper Walnut Grove in Bi-District. Game details still being finalized. πππ¦π

Rotary International District 5830 hosted a weekend leadership development program called RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award.) Tristan Taylor and Isis Velasco Perez represented Tyler High at this prestigious camp last weekend. These students were selected for their leadership ability and potential. Additionally, our senior, Betsy Lopez, a former RYLA recipient returned as a camp counselor this year. We are incredibly proud of these terrific young people!


βOur Daughters of the American Revolution Mary Tyler Chapter Good Citizen Program recipient, Stephanie Esparza, was honored at the George Washington Tea held at Willowbrook Country Club. We are so proud that she represented our campus as an individual who possesses good citizenship qualities to an outstanding degree! Congratulations, Stephanie!β
