Tyler ISD is a proud partner with numerous colleges, universities and other alternative certification programs. Approved student teachers and observation students are placed with outstanding cooperating teachers at various campuses across the District. Interested candidates can find more information at the links below.

Please note there is a cutoff date for each fall and spring semester.

In order to participate as a student teacher or observer in Tyler ISD you must complete and pass a criminal background check. Applications that have not been fully completed will not be processed.

Tyler ISD will contact the sponsoring agency when we receive your results. You may not begin student teaching/observation on a campus until you have received confirmation that you have passed the criminal background check.
