ECHS Family,
As I'm sure you already know, Tyler will experience a full eclipse on Monday, April 8 and TISD as well as TJC will hold classes. For students at ECHS, we will have a viewing session /celebration from 1 PM - 2:15 PM with photo opportunities, free glasses and snacks provided by Student Government and NHS. Students will miss 3rd period for the celebration and return to 4th period, business as usual, no early release. Students at TJC will need to find their own transportation and may participate in the many festivities that TJC is providing. If a student cannot make it to TJC on their own, they may come to ECHS and remain in the cafe until the celebration, but they may miss their TJC classes, which isn't optimal. Please email amanda.hortman@tylerisd.org with questions or concerns.

Hoping yo have everyone participate! Come join the fun!

Congratulations to the following ECHS Owls for being inducted into TJC's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society! We are so very proud of you!
Allie Allen, Miunna Davis, Irving Degollado Elizalde, Catie Espiricueta, Ray Gibson, Juanita Hernandez, Lezlie Ibarra, Ashley Johnson, Waylon Kelm, Korben Leach, Destinie Loya, Aiden Marchky, and Leely Nguyen
Way to go Owls! #WatchUsSoar

There will NOT be after school tutorials for Mr. Ruelle today. Any student needing immediate assistance should come to advisory Tuesday or email Justin.ruelle@tylerisd.org and find a time to meet. Tutorials will resume Wednesday after school.

Hey Owls! Here is an AMAZING opportunity for you! SER National will host its fifth virtual SER STEM Day on Friday, April 5. Astronaut JosΓ© HernΓ‘ndez will present during the virtual event, along with Diana Mogena from Accenture and RaΓΊl Rosario, an F-16 Pilot.
Students who answer questions accurately in the CHAT during the event can win one of 50 gift boxes.
Please register your students/class/youth groups using this link: https://tinyurl.com/33hmkx5k
The event is geared towards promoting the student's interest in STEM. The event will be free for your school (group). Students will have access to informative sessions on motivation and leadership during the event.
After the presentations, the students will use their creativity and compete for prizes as in previous years. Your students can participate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) competition to win laptops, tablets, and one of ten (10) $1,000 scholarships.

Tomorrow is a normal 1-8 period Friday; however, all Seniors must attend the Shakespeare Road Show in the morning, thus if you had Caldwell or student teaching, please reschedule those. The afternoon should be free for those who are doing those two things (for those who don't have class, of course!). No pizza or food trucks, but we will be accepting food orders. Thanks to all for arriving and getting the SAT done, much appreciated!

Dear Parents and Guests,
You are cordially invited to the 11th and 12th grade College Fair on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 5:30-6:30 pm. Our students have worked very hard on researching colleges and creating boards that are informative and creative about the colleges and universities throughout our country. It would be an honor to have your presence at our annual College Fair. See you there!

Some 10th graders and all 11th graders at ECHS on a normal Thursday, as well as some 12th graders will SAT test tomorrow. YOU MUST CHECK your TISD email to see where you need to go. YOU MUST be on time (8 am) and let us know if you are ill. These tests are not free, and if you don't show, we lose that investment. 11th and 12th grade testers will be free to leave after testing. All other Seniors will be in the cafe until 11, then may leave. No 9th or 10th should leave early, they have rotations like today.
