Pre-K had such an AYE -mazing pirate day today! We made our own pirate ships, hunted for treasure and had a cannonball war against the enemy ship!

The Rice Ranger Choir had a blast today singing for 4 different assisted living homes in Tyler. Then we ended the day with some CiCiβs Pizza! They represented Rice well!

Second grade Rice Rangers have been investigating the life cycle of insects. They witnessed caterpillars form chrysalises and then turn into beautiful butterflies in their very own classroom. Today, they released them into their natural environment so they can continue their normal life cycle. We hope to see some of them flying around campus!

Our Pre-K Rangers have traveled to space to explore this week and used their problem-solving and STEM skills to help them return home! They have been βROCK(n)ETβ learning about day and night and space.ππ

To celebrate Earth Day, our Pre-K Rangers learned about ways to care for Earth. They learned how to grow and care for plants. Using the STEM cycle, they worked together in teams to design ways to repurpose a box.

kinder guardians: The field trip has been pushed to leaving Rice at 10:30am. Thank you Tyler ISD transportation for working with us!

Once upon a time in a faraway land, also known as Pre-K, the youngest rangers youβve ever seen read enchanting fairytale stories. These rangers completed several STEM challenges like building bridges strong enough for the Three Bill Goats Gruff, making Rapunzelβs tower out of cubes, and stacking tubes and paper to create Jackβs beanstalk.

This week our Pre-K rangers observed how objects around them move. They notice how pushes and pulls can make things go, stop, speed up, slow down, or change direction. They were challenged to create their own ramps and to find objects in their home environment that requires the force of pushing/pulling.

Pre-K had a Seusstacular week of rhyming, reading, crafting, and participating in Dr. Seuss themed activities!

Look at our Kinder friends learning all about graphing! Way to go!

TEAMWORK makes the DREAM WORK! Rice second graders worked with their team to complete a graphing project. They surveyed their class, created various graphs, and recorded a summary of their data.

Our Kindergarten Rangers are loving learning all about clouds!

Second graders have been exploring weather and seasons for the past few weeks. They need to understand the importance of weather as it relates to choices in clothing, activities, and transportation. These Rangers are working on a tree that showcases all four seasons. How creative!
